Jay Courtney

Born January 13, 1922 in Fredrick Oklahoma,

to

April 10, 1987 in Frisco Colorado

Jay was a member of Village Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, coached basketball, taught Sunday School, maintained heating and air conditioning, and helped in raising capital by directing a bond issue. Graduated from Fredrick High School in 1940. Entered the Merchant Marine Service as a 1st Engineer in 1947. For his last 34 years, Jay was associated with the oilfield industry with Jay Courtney Company, Inc. and Jayco Vent Valve, Inc.. Jay past away in Copper Mountain, Colorado while enjoying the mountains. He learned to ski when he was 60 years old, and enjoyed it till the day we lost him.
